Abigail Ann Maud Courtney was my maternal second great grandmother.
Ann’s fathers side, is shrouded in mystery – I have spent most of my genealogical research hours searching for her father Arthur ‘George’ Courtney/Courtenay. I have a blog dedicated to this research Finding George Courtney c1841.
Ann’s mother was Abigail Paice. Her family is well entrenched in England mostly from Hampshire. Abigail’s parents were James Paice and his first wife Harriet Parker, other known family names include Monk, Carpenter, Skeat/s/Skates, Trevett, Parker, Windebanks, Aburrow/Aborrow, Hinxman, Payce, Carter, March, Andrews, Isron, Bayley/Bailey, English, Davies, Batt, Leach, Langrish, Moulins, Constance, Aylward, Lane, Mills and Biten.
